My love of making started with my dad welding in the driveway.
Handing him tools, helping with the tape measure, and pushing the start button on the welder sparked a need to create that never left me.
I watched ordinary materials become useful, beautiful objects through hard work, creativity and sheer grit.
I make things to preserve individual memories and points of view, and traditional bench techniques are uniquely suited to allow me to slow down, pay attention and explore the relation between people, nature, materials and the stories we carry with us.
Born from the West
Wyoming is more than a place on a map.
Wide-open skies. Crisp, country air. The earthy scent of dust and sagebrush carried on the wind. Textures of living things and an independent spirit that clings to us all find their way into T. Hawk Studio. But western influence doesn't mean following a formula.
The West is a place of quiet abundance and enduring beauty—a landscape that teaches us to treasure what is rare, honor what has been given, and preserve the stories worth carrying forward.
