Jewelry doesn’t have to simply accessorize an outfit—it can be a small work of art you carry with you.
At T. Hawk Studio, each piece is created with the intention of being noticed, touched, and lived in. Sculptural forms, organic textures, unexpected details, and a sense of movement transform traditional adornment into something more expressive. The jewelry pieces we choose to buy and wear are talismans, totems and expressions of who we are. They give us the freedom to express ourselves.
These aren’t pieces made to follow a trend. They’re made to spark curiosity, tell a story, and become part of yours.

The Miriam Webster Dictionary defines art as skill acquired through experiences, study and observation. Pair those qualities with methods of systematized knowledge and you have stepped into the realms of science.
With infinite fields of specialty, ever-changing environmental factors, advances in tools and techniques, and countless questions to answer, both art and science will continue to evolve until our existence ceases.
Pondering deep questions, studying surroundings, embracing mentors, experimenting, failing until we succeed and sharing our work is essential to both art and science. The final product is only a small part of the scientific process of art. It all starts with an intrinsic question. I want to know, where does curiosity come from?

"Flying Frippery" is a series of work intended to express the feeling of being free. Free from time and the expectations of what jewelry should be.
For centuries, jewelry has been something we wear to accessorize our personal appearance. But what makes personal adornment more than a simple accessory? Jewelry is a talisman. A totem. An expression of who we are. A way of life. Freedom... In a world of accessories, these brooches, rings and pendants have the ability to transform themselves into something more.
What if, while not being worn, jewelry had a place to be, a purpose? Flying Frippery dives into that concept. These pieces can stand on their own as simplified bird brooches. But once coupled with a display, they can ascend from personal adornment into visual art.
Landscapes that we once thought had concrete beauty are changing right before our eyes. Relationships we once thought were strong are waning due to geography and knowledge censorship of our own making. Our mental states we once thought were impenetrable are transforming into weakness through fear of failure.
Jasper requires temperature, time, terrain, and human intervention to transform. The geological process takes millions and sometimes billions of years. The human mind can work faster. If we understand the implications. Jasper and the human spirit have much on common. Jasper signifies courage. Courage to be determined and tenacious, especially in the face of failure and fear. Courage to be honest about shortcomings and the ability to accept change and pursue new experiences.

Alloy Addresses is a collection of influential places and events that have been simplified, abstracted, and translated into fine metal brooches. This body of work was driven by memories of growing up in Wyoming, fierce fleeting moments, and complex wire fabrication techniques.

Each seashell featured was hand picked off the beaches of Cape Hatteras, NC just days after the 2016 hurricane Hermione swept through the island. Each seashell tells a story of rough waters turned in to something special.
This is my first completed collection and is compiled of 19 hand fabricated fine metal brooches and pendants.
