Banded Iron Statement Ring — One of a Kind

This one-of-a-kind T. Hawk Studio ring features a striking triangular cabochon of banded iron sourced from the Prieska area of the Northern Cape, South Africa. The stone’s naturally linear patterning moves between deep red iron, silvery metallic hematite, and smoky charcoal tones—creating an almost architectural landscape within the stone.

The stone was hand-picked, hand-cut, and hand-polished from material I sourced during a trip to Massachusetts, then set by hand in sterling silver accented with warm jeweler’s brass. Five delicate 2mm CZ accents add just the right touch of sparkle without competing with the stone.

The split ring shank gives the design an unexpected, sculptural quality, while the clean lines and restrained accents let the stone remain the star. It’s subtle enough for everyday wear, yet distinctive enough to stop someone and ask, “Where did you get that?”
